Honestly, I never used to care too much about skincare. Back home, my usual routine would be: cleanse my face with facial foam, tone (which I oftentimes forgot btw), and then moisturize only around the nose and eye areas. When I started with my current job, however, I guess I developed a better appreciation for skincare. Not to mention that I work with hundreds of skincare products everyday (aside from cosmetics and perfumes, etc.)! So needless to say, my routine expanded quite a bit -- and is growing still!

Day:
1. I cleanse my face with just little facial foam. I've been using Clean & Clear facial foam since I was 13! I've tried using different brands in between, such as Pond's, Etude House, Clinique, etc. - but nothing makes my skin feel as clean and fresh and oil-free as this one. Probably because I've been using it for so long, my skin is most comfortable with it, idk.
2. Tone. I tend to change toners every so often. So far I've tried Clean & Clear, Sisley, FANCL, L'Occitane, etc. I'm currently using L'oreal Hydrafresh. After I'm finished with this bottle, I really want to try SKII's Facial Treatment Clear Lotion (and Facial Treatment Essence) next!
3. Next, moisturize. Again, I like to change moisturizers every so often. I've used Sisley, Laneige, Olay, Etude House, Clean & Clear, Skinfood, etc. Right now I'm using L'oreal Hydrafresh Day Cream. I'm thinking of getting Laneige again after I finish this.
4. If I'm not too lazy, I then apply a little bit of Sisley All Day All Year Essential Day Care.
Night:
1. Removing and cleansing makeup off is one of the most important things, imo. Imagine if you don't remove all the makeup on your face well, then it would just be sitting on your skin the whole night, and might give you breakouts and wrinkles and whatnot, nuu! ('Kay, I admit I've done this a few times before, especially during impromptu sleepovers with my girls, lol. But it's not good, okay!!!) So I make it a point, especially now that I am required to wear full and heavy-ish makeup to work everyday, to remove my makeup completely before going to bed.
For my eyes, I used to use Etude House Lip & Eye Remover (Still sounds funny to me!). Now I'm using L'oreal Gentle Lip and Eye Make-up Remover. I like this one as it doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes. For tougher to remove eye makeup, I use Lancome Bi-facil.
Then, I remove my foundation using Lancome Galatee Confort Cleansing Milk.
2. After completely removing my makeup, I wash my face thoroughly with my usual facial foam.
3. Tone, as usual.
4. I wasn't able to include it in the photo above, but for the eye area, I use Lancome Genefique Yeux Youth Activating Eye Concentrate. I've started to get fine lines around my eye area, probably because of years of concealing dark circles, lol! Been using this product for a few weeks now, and so far it's been doing fine. I notice my eyes have been looking a lot less old and tired, hee.
5. Moisturize.

Extras:
1. Twice or thrice a week, I make it a point to exfoliate. I use Cure Natural Aqua Gel, it's SUUUPER GOOD! Easily one of my most favorite skincare products, EVER EVER EVER. I'll probably post a full review on it soon. ;)
2. I have very dry and flaky skin on my nose, especially when I haven't been drinking enough water or if I don't moisturize well. When that happens, I apply a thick layer of Sisley's Hydra-Flash overnight, and then exfoliate in the morning.
3. Whenever I get zits, I use Sisley Lotion with Tropical Resins. Then, I do overnight spot treatment on them nasty zits with Sisley Facial Mask with Tropical Resins - always does the trick! My boyfriend uses the toner daily.

Have you ever heard of Hada Labo? It's quite in popular in Japan but they have it in Singapore too!
ReplyDeleteHey! Yeah, I've heard of it. :) Now that you've mentioned it, I might just give it a try too, heehee! :D
ReplyDeletexD Oh wow so many products. Does it take much time to do your skincare and makeup each morning?
ReplyDeleteMinor typo here, "It's quite in popular in Japan" lol sorry about that.
ReplyDeleteI heard it sells like pancakes! I wanna try it too but we don't have it in the Philippines. You should do a review someday. That would be cool! <3
Thanks for sharing your routine with us! I like how you use a mix of low and high end products :)
ReplyDeleteI've heard great things about the Cure gel - I'd like to pick it up and give it a try soon.
I love your skincare/beauty posts. :-) I have a pretty similar day to night routine when it comes to cleansing and toning, but the beauty products I use at night are different. :-)
